"MARU" Japanese Stitching 2-Day Class - 26 & 30 January
Join us in the iconic Nicholas Building for a 2-day class in Japanese hand stitching inspired by a vintage piece from Leanne’s personal collection.
Traditional Japanese kimono seam stitching and other techniques including sashiko and applique will be used for circles of embellishment. Working with new indigo dyed kimono cotton fabric sourced especially for this workshop with vintage hand-woven “kasuri” cloths and Japanese threads will provide an authentic Japanese finish to your throw. An informative & fun class with plenty of time for hand-stitching over the 2 days including Australia Day & the following Sunday. All materials & equipment included in class fee.
